General Members

General Members of Carolina Productions are a very important part of this organization. General Members help with the programming of events from start to finish. CP general members choose the programs to bring, help promote these programs and help to execute these programs. General Member duties include researching artists, coming up with promotional ideas, helping with several tasks during the day of the event, etc.

How to become a General Member

Becoming a general member of Carolina Productions is easy. To become a member you join any of our 6 committees. General Members can join one to all 6 of our committees. There is no application or fee for becoming a member of Carolina Productions. General Members also attend our monthly general member meetings.

VIP Membership

To become a VIP member of Carolina Productions, one must attend 2 General Meetings, 6 committee meetings, and volunteer at 5 CP events.

Benefits of being a VIP member include a CP shirt, iPod Speakers, guaranteed seating at CP events, and level designation on namebadges at events.

How to Upgrade VIP Status: Each General Member is given a VIP signature card to have signed at each required attendance. After completing your VIP signature card, you will receive your official “CP VIP” laminated card and a new VIP signature card. Each VIP signature card completed will upgrade your status from General Member to VIP to Silver to Gold Status.

Introducing "Spoken Word Wednesdays"

This year the Cultural Awareness Committee is introducing a brand new event series to the University of South Carolina.

Look out for “Spoken Word Wednesdays”: a night full of spoken word featuring the talented students of USC, individuals of the surrounding area, and renowned spoken word artists from all over the US -the likes of Oveous Maximus, Ill-literacy, Mayda Del Valle, Shihan, and etc.

Spoken Word Wednesdays will take place once a month in the Russell House Theater.
